What The Silence Means
02:11
|
|||
The night is young,
but oh so short.
You get clouded lungs
then your mind don't work.
Save the best for last,
that's what they say.
Leave a trail for wanderers so they can get in your way.
Someday I'll leave a note
sayin' you can't stay.
Sometime you'll make it work,
but not today.
You can call me cruel,
you can call me vain,
but when the going gets tough
I'll be the one you blame.
You can say I'm mean,
you can cry and scream,
but no words can say
what the silence means.

Forget Yourself
02:45
|
|||
Told me you wanted to forget yourself,
you won't get this from anybody else.
Told me you wanted to destroy yourself,
I'll keep your secret baby,
I will never tell.
Corrupt and damned,
ending unplanned,
living in full mystification.
The part I've hid
won't understand a spiritual assassination.
You want the key
and just like me
you crave a spark,
deep illumination
and when you're free
eternity,
a life of pure manifestation.
Dreamin', believing,
leanin' on you.
Fever, it lingers,
the sight of your muse.
A secret,
a weapon of massive abuse,
secret discovery on Danger Ave.

Bad Habits
04:11
|
|||
I'm a bad, bad girl,
that's why I keep payin, up my dues
and all the things that I've been through
can't guarantee I'll find some other hidden truth.
Guess I ran outta time.
I only play the games that I can't win,
only love when it's a crime.
Guess I've gone astray again,
got the upper hand,
don't know who I am,
left without a plan.
That's it, I've had it.
Got myself caught up in many bad habits.
Chemistry so dangerous, yet so lavish.
I dream so far away,
yet I still wanna grab it.
Got no consolation 'cause I'm free.
Don't find freedom in your comfort,
it just doesn't work for me.
Guess I'll never really know, for sure
if I made the tables turn
or if I'll be discerned.
You be Alice and I'll be the white white rabbit again.

Faith De-Part
04:41
|
|||
I roam out of line,
dirty as divine,
defined as a lost cause.
I make love to the word
as a blessing in my curse
I drown over at the Jazz Bar.
You can't hurt me,
your hands aren't steady,
the world's not yet ready for a faith de-part.
You can't kill me for I live inside your dark.
Lonely, a lost star.
Holding the faith de-part.
Knowing I'll be going just as soon as it starts.
You can't kill me,
I'm a lost star.
Screaming to the void
wishing I could tell the dream,
following into the footsteps of the night thief.
Knife in pocket
not afraid of the wilderness
and all these nights ahead
walking the path of emptiness.

The Danger Club
03:12
|
|||
Save me a seat at the poker table,
save me a seat at the Danger Club.
I only like them kinda games who are able to make the madness numb.
You know I'm talkin' 'bout
danger, strangers on the open road,
never going back home,
cold stoned,
we're mad but we're bold.
Take a whiff of my magic dust,
see how you like
or take a sip of my magic lust
- hard to define.
They say we're out of our minds
but we're just out of line
and we think we're divine
that's why we're running for our lives.
Dead, alive or kicking,
don't know what we're sipping,
hate the way we're thinking
but they love the way we're tripping.
We don't need no money
'cause we make a living,
listen to nobody 'cause we're takin' like we're givin'
They say
come to the Danger Club,
you can't catch us,
we're already gone.
This is the Danger Club,
you can't find us,
we're still on the run.

The Stage
04:44
|
|||
Died again and made a song,
only wanted to belong,
now she's mechanic hence the fall.
Never been like this before ,
being black was a such a bore,
now she's not boring anymore.
Taking the old familiar road back to her place,
could even pass by her house with a straight face,
looking through the window though she can't face
the life she used to dream she'd replace.
Can't help but feel that something's wrong,
no way to make me belong,
now my hope is almost gone.
Put me on the stage where the angels are,
put me in your movies and your catalogues,
we're gonna be heard near and far
or at least at the local bar.
Put me on the stage where the angels are,
make me your money making machine, your star.
Come back to me,
wherever you are,
come to my gig at the local bar.
I run, I hide, I dive too deep,
inside my mind eternity.
Hold me in your arms and make it fade away.
I sleep to keep my soul alive,
inside my mind I'm terrified.
Tell me a story, keep me satisfied.

Spoke in Poems
05:51
|
|||
We were broke and spoke in poems,
life like this was a song.
Every night we'd dance to our music,
it seemed short, no matter how long.
One day I told them I'm leaving to go to a distant land
and when I came back home I found they were on the road
and I was where I once began.
And I know we were travelers.
The stars know we're their passengers.
The road can be cold and lonely,
never wanted to be easy,
I know we were gone long ago.
Taken by a storm.
Bitter we did grow.
